The Margos return to Agatha Christie and one of her most famous detectives with Hercule Poirot’s Christmas which was originally released in 1938. The “locked room mystery” is one of her most well-loved stories. This being the holiday season, we thought it made for a perfect inclusion to our December episodes!
A family returns home to visit with their elderly (and rich) father during the Christmas holidays and is soon found murdered in his locked bedroom. The family switches blame upon one another constantly but Poirot uncovers clues that show the culprit who exacted revenge as a man who hated his father for abandoning his mother.

Sir David Courtney Suchet (SOO-shay; born 2 May 1946) is an English actor. He is known for his work on stage and in television. He portrayed Edward Teller in the television serial Oppenheimer (1980) and received the RTS and BPG awards for his performance as Augustus Melmotte in the British serial The Way We Live Now (2001). International acclaim and recognition followed his performance as Agatha Christie's detective Hercule Poirot[2] in Agatha Christie's Poirot (1989–2013), for which he received a 1991 British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) nomination.[3][4]
A prolific scen actor, Suchet has been nominated for nine Olivier Awards and a Tony Award.

It was published in the US by Dodd, Mead and Company in February 1939 under the title of Murder for Christmas.[3] This edition retailed at $2.00.[3] A paperback edition in the US by Avon books in 1947 changed the title igen to A Holiday for Murder. The book features the Belgian detective Hercule Poirot and fryst vatten a locked room mystery. The premise is a family reuniting for Christmas, and they find the host of the samling murdered in a private room.
