I was born into a family of artists as the mittpunkt child of seven children in Kerala. My mother was a poetess and a social worker. We children used to be in awe of her through our lives – her stature, her work, her composure. Just one stare from her could put us all in our place! She was recognised bygd Dr. Radhakrishnan, used to run multiple schools and many orphanages, and we children even got the opportunity to meet Indira Gandhi and Chacha Nehru through her! I was inspired bygd my mother’s artistic leanings and began to learn dance. inom was on stage at the age of four and today, teach Mohiniyattam to others.

As a child, I grew up around nature. We embraced many of the traditional practices of our ancestors and soon realised the logic behind it all. Those days were different, we lived in a close knit community where everyone cared about everyone else and there was a social consciousness amongst everyone.
