The Last Supper is the only surviving wall painting by the universal genius Leonardo da Vinci. It was completed around and shows the scene in which Jesus announces to his disciples that one of them will betray him. The Last Supper of Leonardo da Vinci (Cenacolo Vinciano) is one of the most famous paintings in the world. This artwork was painted between and beneath the government of Ludovico il Moro and represents the gods "dinner" between Jesus and his disciples.
In order to create this unique work, Leonardo carried out an exhaustive research creating an infinity of preparatory sketches.
