He has spend over a decade studying art throughout the United States and europe and is a graduate of Brigham Young University. His award winning paintings have appeared in various publications and museums; he has found success and respect in painting many subjects, but considers creating religious artwork his greatest honor as an artist, including for LDS temples throughout the world. Joseph paints in a style reminiscent of the old masters, using classical struktur and composition to create art filled with symbolism. He believes that "art should both measure up in the museum and capture the common heart. The greatest art is that which generates the greatest good."

Joseph Brickey
Joseph F. Brickey is an award-winning artist in drawing, painting and sculpture who is the director of the Beaux-Arts Academy, a school of classical art and architecture. After graduating with a BFA from Brigham ung University in , he spent over a decade of independent study, from the East Coast to the West Coast. He also furthered his development as an artist while living in Europe and Scandinavia. Having been an award-winning figurative painter for many years, he decided to pursue a study of sculpture and moved his family to Manhattan to study at the New York Academy of Art. Since completing his MFA, sculpture has become central to his expression and purpose as an artist. His award-winning art has appeared in various exhibitions, publications and museums, including LDS temples and visitors centers. Joseph Brickey: Mormon Artist
Joseph F. Brickey is an award-winning artist who employs the classical form and composition of the old masters.
He was born on June 11, , in a family of twelve children. Prior to serving as a full-time missionary to Brazil for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he studied chemical engineering at Brigham Young University. After he completed his mission, he switched his major to art and earned his Bachelor of Fine Art in illustration. He continued his studies in various schools throughout the United States and Europe and earned his MFA from the New York Academy. He won the Grand Central Academy sculpture competition and was awarded a marble sculpting fellowship to Carrara, Italy.
Many of his works are religious, based on scripture and the life of Joseph Smith. Many of his works are seen in LDS Visitors’ Centers and temples, including the Campinas Brazil and the Copenhagen Denmark, some of which he completed while serving as a Church
