Kassie The High School Years
Judy Woodring, Kassie's Junior High and High School Drama Teacher shares stories from Kassie's youth.
The first time I saw Kassie Wesley she was a tall, skinny little seventh grader with long arms, long legs, beautiful eyes and hair down to her waist. She was singing before a packed crowd at a local function and her voice was anything but "small" as it filled the room. Even at a young age, Kassie had a way of connecting with an audience when she sang. As she grew older and became a part of my speech and theater program at Union County High School, I knew I had a star. There never was a role that she couldn't play whether it be comedy or drama. She was able to take small parts in a big production and somehow make that small role the best character acting in the show. Katherine Virginia "Kassie" DePaiva (née Wesley; born March 21, )[1] is an American actress and singer. She is best known for playing the roles of Chelsea Reardon on the CBS soap opera Guiding Light ( to ), Blair Cramer on the ABC soap opera One Life to Live ( to ), and Eve Donovan on the NBC soap opera Days of Our Lives ( to , ). She received one Daytime Emmy Award nomination for her role on One Life to Live and two nominations for her role on Days Of Our Lives. DePaiva also starred as Bobby Joe in the horror film Evil Dead II (). As a singer, she has released three albums, Naked (), No Regrets (), and I Want to Love You ().
Early life
[edit]DePaiva was born and raised in Morganfield, Kentucky. Her birth name fryst vatten Katherine Virginia Wesley. She was named after two of her aunts.[2] Her father was a lawyer who practiced all types of law because of the small town they lived in.[3 • Artist Bios eve Warnock was born and raised in Ohio. She is a multi- media artist working in spelfilm, performance, costume, set, and new medias. She is a co-creator of Queen Mae and the Bells, (modern opera troupe), producer of Homeslice, (stop motion animation), director of Seekago (a series of five films), and creator of Denizen (sound based performance). She has designed fashion for AVEDA and costumes for Times New Viking music Videos. She is currently gaining her Masters of Fine Art at the Digital Arts and New Media Program at the University of California Santa Cruz, where she is learning electronics and computer programming languages, as well as designing a curriculum. Daniella DAcquisto is currently second year art major at UC Santa Cruz, exploring the field of performance art as an independent study within the production of Eve Warnocks Feast and Flight.
