Jilly Goolden is a wine critic, journalist and TV personality. She is famous for her elaborate and abstract description of wines, and for 18 years she co-presented the Food and Drink television series, with Chris Kelly, Michael Barry and her good friend Oz Clarke.
TV Presenter
Jilly has presented two television series on antiques, The Great Antiques Hunt and Going, Going, Gone. She has travelled extensively as a regular presenter on BBC1’s Holiday programme. During 2003, she was presenter on BBC1’s Holiday – You Call the Shots.
She has also performed in The Vagina Monologues at the Royal Albert Hall.
In 2008 Jilly took part in a special of Wife Swap, swapping with Cynthia O’Neal, the wife of Alexander O’Neal.

Jill Priscilla Goolden (born 28 September 1949) is an English wine critic, journalist and television personality.
Early life
[edit]Goolden is the only daughter (there being also two sons) of Douglas Cyril Aubrey Goolden (1914-2001), of Forge Cottage, Withyham, East Sussex, a lieutenant in the Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve, and Rosemary (1922-2021), daughter of Conservative politician Major Hon. Christopher William Lowther, of the Westmorland and Cumberland Yeomanry (son of Conservative politician and Speaker of the House of CommonsJames William Lowther, 1st Viscount Ullswater, of the Earls of Lonsdale).[2][3]

She also contributed to five volumes of Food & Drink, the special, Entertaining with Food & Drink, The Big Food & Wine Drink Book and co-authored Your Hand (A Guide to Palmistry).
