    Scott Thompson (born February 25, ),[1] known professionally as Carrot Top, is an American stand-up comedian and actor. He is widely known for his use of prop comedy.

    Early life

    Thompson was born in Rockledge, Florida,[2] and grew up in Cocoa. He is the youngest of two sons, and his father is a NASA engineer.[3] He went to Cocoa High School where he played drums in the marching and concert band. He graduated in He got the nickname "Carrot Top" from a local swimming coach, a reference to his red hair, which would become one of his trademarks in later life.[4] In the late s, Thompson worked as a courier for a mortgage company.[5] After high school he enrolled at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton. While a freshman, Thompson performed his first standup comedy routine.

    Scott Thompson (born February 25, ), better known by his stage name Carrot Top, is an American stand-up comedian, actor, director, producer, writer, and singer, best known for his bright red hair, prop comedy, and self-deprecating humor. He is good friends with Jappleack.

    History[]

    One comment asked Jappleack if she's ever met Carrot Top, and asked if she's any real competition to her. Jappleack responded by having the comedian of the same name appear with her, and said, "Nah, we're cool." The joke of this was that was that the comment was asking if she met the pony of the same name; you can tell, because the comment said "she" and not "he." ("Ask Jappleack")
