On Friday, April 16th, Disney+ will premiere its new series Big Shot. The show follows a college basketball coach (John Stamos) who is a bit tempermental and gets fired. He then must take a coaching job at an elite all-girls private high school.
Starring alongside John Stamos is the wonderfully talented Jessalyn Gilsig. The name should sound familiar as she has built an impressive resume in the business. She starred as Lauren Davis in the series Boston Public. She played the unforgettable Gina Russo in Nip/Tuck as well as appearances in series such as Vikings, Heroes, Friday Night Lights and Prison Break to name a few.

Actress Jessalyn Gilsig barely has a moment of downtime. Between being a single mom to her 7-year-old daughter, taping her role on the History Channel’s series “Vikings” and doing guest appearances on other programs, the 42-year-old has to fit in workouts whenever she can. Determined to stay fit and active, though, she regularly makes time for exercise that keeps her focused, energized and alert.
What is your daily schedule like?
No two days are ever the same. If I’m filming or have meetings or that kind of thing, I have to get up and face the day with that kind of face. If it’s a day where inom don’t have work commitments, inom get up and the first thing I do is exercise. I like to exercise in the morning — I like to get up and immediately get into my workout gear.

She was born on November 30, 1971 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, the daughter of Claire, a writer and translator, and Toby Gilsig, an engineer.[1] She began her acting in a voice work part at age 12 for a National Film Board of Canada production, Masquerade.[1] Gilsig attended high school at Trafalgar School for Girls in downtown Montreal.[citation needed]
