Summary: Chitra Ramkrishna is the first and former woman managing director and chief executive officer of the National Stock Exchange (NSE), an institution founded in the early s to reform the capital market in India, and now ranking as the worlds largest exchange in cash market trades and as one of the top three exchanges in index and stock derivatives. C • Chitra Ramkrishna is the former managing director and CEO of the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE). She assumed the role in April , and resigned from the company in December of , just months before the NSE's planned IPO.[1][2] She replaced long-time CEO Ravi Narain, who was subsequently elected to be NSE's non-executive vice-chairman.
